Hands up if you love the sound of bacon frying under your wheels as you fly along your favourite gravel road? well, if that's your thing this weekend's shop ride was made for YOU!!
Call it what you will - bacon frying, gravel grinding, adventure riding - it's all the same. It's that good old ride along farmland or forest gravel roads. It's all great fun, and we'd love for you to join us!!
We'll start at the shop at 2pm, and there are a number of routes we can take. As long as the weather stays generally OK, the front runner is shaping up to be the dirt roads along Old Bar Rd, including Newby's Rd, Redbank Rd, Half Chain Rd, and bunches more! Great riding through farmland and National Parks land as well.
If it's a bit boggy, we'll avoid those roads and maybe choose to scoot out Cedar Party way instead. And if that's no good we've always got the Kiwarrak State Forest road system to lose ourselves in.
So, with choices like that, we're spoilt for options!!! We reckon there'll be between 25 - 30km of riding involved. The only thing you have to do is front up for the ride. Here's all the details:
WHEN: Saturday 28th April, roll out of the shop carpark at 2pm sharp.
WHERE: Bourkes Bikes, Mill Close Taree
BRING: A bike capable of riding on dirt, helmet, water, gloves and glasses, sunscreen.
SKILL LEVEL: A good level of fitness, enough to ride 25-30km over approximately 2 hours on both sealed and dirt roads.
