OK, welcome to this week's blog post about the Bourkes Bikes Ride schedule.

Instead of putting up two separate posts about the two different rides, we thought we'd be economical (just like bikes are!) and put them both in one post.

Firstly, the gravel grind. This Friday we're going to venture up to Breakneck Lookout.

This ride will take in Breakneck Road up to the lookout. It's a fair climb, but a great hit out for the start of the weekend. Here's the deets:

WHEN: Friday 15th June, roll out from the start point at 6AM SHARP!!

WHERE: Start at the Town end of the Martin bridge, at the intersection of Victoria and Commerce Sts, Taree---CLICK HERE FOR MAP

BRING: Bike capable of grinding on the gravel, helmet, water, warm clothing and lights!!

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate - approximately 30km of considerable climbing and descending on gravel roads over 90 minutes.

Secondly, our patented weekend MTB ride continues to get more and more popular. Last week we let it all hang out on an enduro ride - we were lucky to get out of there with all our limbs intact!

So this weekend we're going to take it a little easier and host a BEGINNER RIDE. This means that riders of ALL abilities can rock up and join us for a ride. It's going to be great going, with a little bit of climbing and descending and maybe even some interesting purpose-built features to test your skill on. Here's the info for the shop ride:

WHEN: Saturday 16th June, roll out from the car park at 2PM SHARP!!

WHERE: Kiwarrak MTB Park main car park---CLICK HERE FOR MAP

BRING: bike capable of riding MTB trails, helmet, gloves, glasses, water

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner - Approximately 7-10km riding over approximately 1-1.5hrs
