Shop Social Ride 23/11/19 - Mixed terrain ride

The smoke is starting to clear and although many of us are not out of the woods yet it is time to throw a leg back over the bike and get out for a ride.
So this weeks shop social ride is a bit of a mixed terrain ride. There will be some back roads, bitumen and dirt.
We will be starting and finishing at the Wynter Tavern so we can grab some food and a drink afterwards.
This ride will be suitable for anyone who a bit of fitness and a bike that can ride gravel roads.
Meeting Point: Wynter Tavern
Date: Saturday 23/11/19
Time: Rolling out of the tavern car park at 3:00pm sharp
Difficulty: 43km with around 250m climbing. Looking to do around a 20-25km average speed.
What is a gravel ride? Just like it sounds it is a ride on gravel roads!
This ride is for you if you have a bit of fitness behind you and bike that is suitable for gravel roads. During one of these rides you may encounter a variety of surfaces from asphalt to rough gravel roads as well as a little bit of climbing.
Still an easy social pace with plenty of chance to rest and regroup.
Ride time of around 2-3 hours
You will need a bike in good working order, a helmet, enclosed footwear, gloves and plenty of water. Also bring along things you may need to keep you going. For example spare tube, tools, pump, etc.
See you on the trails...
