CANCELLED Social Ride 19/12/20 - Gravel/Adventure Ride, again!
Updated: Feb 2

With the rain hanging around for the next week or so we though it best to avoid the mountain bike trails and let them dry out a bit. Instead we will be doing another gravel/adventure ride!
We will be leaving from the Wynter Tavern at 3pm this week and will end the ride back there with a nice cold drink.
This ride will be around 30-35km and have around 500m of climbing, plus have a couple of steeper hills. The ride will be suitable for anyone who has a bit of fitness, doesn't mind a bit of climbing and a bike that can ride gravel roads, 4wd tracks and just maybe a little bit of single track.
No map this week so it will be a bit of a surprise for you all...
Meeting Point: Wynter Tavern
Date: Saturday 19/12/20
Time: Rolling out at 3pm sharp
Difficulty: 35km with around 400m climbing. Looking to do around a 15-20km average speed.
What is a mixed terrain/gravel ride? Just like it sounds it is a ride on gravel roads!
This ride is for you if you have a bit of fitness behind you and bike that is suitable for gravel roads. During one of these rides you may encounter a variety of surfaces from asphalt to rough gravel roads as well as a little bit of climbing.
Still an easy social pace with plenty of chance to rest and regroup.
Ride time of around 2-3 hours
You will need a bike in good working order, a helmet, enclosed footwear, gloves and plenty of water. Also bring along things you may need to keep you going. For example spare tube, tools, pump, etc.
See you on the trails...
